Destination St. Elmo’s Island Private Island Wedding

Bryan + Erin

This week, I was invited to capture the most stunning wedding. I was contacted by the talented Candace Nicole Photography. She asked me to assist a wedding in Upstate New York, on one of the Thousand Islands. We enjoyed an 8 hour road trip on up to New York. We made a pit stop at the gorgeous Canadian side of the Niagara Falls which was so worth it!  Then we headed over to Alexandria Bay, where we were picked up by boat and brought over to St Elmo’s Island.

Bryan + Erin rented this stunning island, where a few of their guests were able to stay and get ready before the wedding. It was typical hot July wedding, but thankfully there was the perfect amount of wind on the bay. These two had the most gorgeous ceremony right by the water and then we loaded up in the boat to grab some portraits.

We stopped the boat in front of the infamous Boldt Castle, which was stunning. Then we capture some glorious sunset portraits of these two lovebirds, before heading back to a reception under the stars.

I am so thankful to have tagged along for this stunning wedding! I hope to make it back out to the Thousand Islands again, for another intimate wedding in the future!
