Calvert Private Beach Classic Engagement Session

Where do I even begin with this fun engagement session! Joey + Shelby booked me last year for their 2022 wedding. We instantly bonded over their love of their sweet rescued pups, and days out boating on the Chesapeake.

We met up for the engagement session on a beautiful April evening! There was some dark storm clouds threatening our shoot, but thankfully the rain held off. I like to think those clouds only added to the dramatic flair of their session.

These two opted for a classic nautical palette with their outfits. They frolicked barefoot on the beach, hunting for Sea Glass (which Shelby collects!). She found a few pieces we used to prop her ring up for some fun shots.

Afterwards, the wind started to pick up and they changed into more formal attire. Shelby was a stunner in her navy blue dress. The wind was a paid actor for us; giving her the most dramatic wind swept hair and gorgeous background crashing waves.

Congratulations to Shelby + Joey! I am so excited to celebrate with you two this Fall!
